Socially Engaged Artist
Lincs Artist Forum and Art on the High Street
I have a passion for spontaneous work outside of the gallery space and working with communities, schools and hard to reach groups to challenge their perceptions of what they are capable of and to give them another way to communicate, a visual voice.
I have over 25 years’ experience of working with all ages and abilities. My broad art form skills include: hand rolled felt, paper pulp & papier mache, knit & crochet, sculpture, carnival arts and textiles.
I am currently delivering a programme of creative sessions for those living with dementia and their carers across South Lincolnshire funded by the Dementia Support Fund and Boston Big Local.
My ‘Visible Mending Exhibition’ is still touring the UK and my artist sharing project ‘From Lincolnshire and Back’ to challenge artists’ working practice and encourage artist collaboration is currently being exhibited at Majestic Studios in Stoke on Trent. More information on both can be found here: https://artrovings.wordpress.com/artist-networking/
Allotment 17b is my outdoor art and growing space which I share with community groups https://theshed1.wordpress.com/
